Spin

SPIN is one of the best ways to lose fat quickly, tone lower body and core muscles, improve aerobic fitness, and get a vigorous, safe indoor workout. SPIN also known as indoor cycling. This is a class on stationary bikes with rockin’ music and moves on the bike led by the instructor. The music used is to motivate you to go beyond what you have ever done before.


A typical workout includes a warm up, followed by a workout that stimulates riding on level ground, sprinting, jumping, climbing hills, standing on the pedals and recovery. You are in complete control of how hard you work, just a turn of the intensity knob on your bike will take you up a notch.

Beginners start at 60% of their max heart rate, and work towards advancing to 80% of their maximum heart rate.

Spinning is a terrific fat burner that expends about 100 calories every 10 minutes. At this rate the average woman will burn a pound of fat every seven classes, even without dieting. Spinning not only burn calories during exercise but also increases metabolism and continues burning fat for the rest of the day.

Spinning is a great addition to your workout program. Spinning is a terrific exercise if you want to burn fat, tone muscles and work out in a highly motivating and charged atmosphere. Sign up for our Saturday morning class at 8:30, there are limited spots so calling early in week assures you of a spot. Classes are added when there is interest for another day and time. Classes are 7.50 for non-clients of Body Basics and 5.00 for clients.
